AI Detector Violation Swipe
The GSSM Marketing Team sent out an email asking the GSSM Community for a name to give to GSSM'S Mascot, the Eagle, to which a faculty member responded asking if alumni were to be included in the name selection process. The Marketing Team then responded with a statement about why alumni would not be included, to which a student promptly responded with screenshots of a website claiming that the text of the response was mostly generated with a large language model. A number of reprehensive emails were sent between students and Residence Life Staff during which students showed an apparent lack of respect.[1]
Students who responded to the email and reacted to it were given Write-Ups.[2] This was not the case for all students however and some students had it repealed.
